Planet Resin - 1/72
Earl Martell
Planet is now producing a range of these and they are of a
high
quality. The range includes an A-stoff tank , a Meillerwagen to
carry it and a
Faun to pull the Meillerwagen. The Faun is available in rail and
ordinary versions.
The A-Stoff (transport trailer) was used to carry liquid oxygen for the rockets. The kit consists of a one piece 'solid' resin tank, nine wheels, a one piece chassis/tray, mud guards, 'steel' frame work, a couple of 'boxes' and a small set of photo etched details . This is a nice kit - very well cast - BUY ONE
The Meillerwagen (used to transport the V-2s) is similar in layout, to the Resinmaster 1/76 kit, however, Planet's offering is in 1/72 scale! There's a lot of flash on the main chassis but the rest of the parts are cleanly moulded. However, there are a number of large 'sprues' that have to be cut off. In all, there are 52 resin parts plus a fret of photo etched details. - Earl Martell.
